Participation Policy

The tagline for The How is “Learn from entrepreneurs.” That means we want you—aspiring and experienced entrepreneurs alike—to participate by sharing good advice, asking thoughtful questions, and generally being positive contributors on the site. To create a lively learning atmosphere for as wide a range of readers as possible, conversations here must be respectful, even when we disagree with each other.

To ensure that the good stuff happens: we require that you create an account to comment, we moderate comments, and we will not publish personal attacks, harassment (including anything based on race, gender, religion, age, color, national origin, physical appearance, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity), or anything that strikes us as trolling. For repeated or severe violations, we’ll shut down your account.

In sum: Jump in, say smart stuff, and step away from the keyboard if you think other people are saying obvious or idiotic things.
